Lightning Within 10 Miles Of The Park
The operation of the following rides/attractions will be suspended until lightning is no longer present for at least 15 minutes/after the last lightning strike as monitored on park radar by our safety specialists: Barnstormer, Big Bear Mountain, Daredevil Falls, Dollywood Express, Dragonflier, Drop Line, FireChaser Express, Great Tree Swing, Lightning Rod, Lumberjack Lifts, Mystery Mine, Pig Pen, Shooting Star, Sky Rider, Smoky Mountain River Rampage, Tennessee Tornado, The Amazing Flying Elephants, The Mad Mocking Bird, The Waltzing Swinger, Thunderhead, Treetop Tower, Whistle Punk Chaser, and Wild Eagle.
Lightning Within 5 Miles Of The Park
IN ADDITION TO THE RIDES LISTED ABOVE IN THE LIGHTNING GUIDELINE, the operation of the following rides/attractions will be suspended until lightning is no longer present for at least 15 minutes/after the last lightning strike as monitored on park radar by our safety specialists: Black Bear Trail, Busy Bees, Demolition Derby, Frogs & Fireflies, Granny’s Garden, Lemon Twist, Lil’ Pilots Playground, Lucky Ducky, Piggy Parade, Pig Pen, Rockin’ Roadway, The Scrambler, Village Carousel, and Wildwood Creek.
Wind Restrictions
The following rides may not operate during high winds: Barnstormer, Big Bear Mountain, Daredevil Falls, Dollywood Express, Dragonflier, Drop Line, FireChaser Express, Frogs & Fireflies, Great Tree Swing, Lightning Rod, Lumberjack Lifts, Mystery Mine, Sky Rider, Shooting Star, Tennessee Tornado, The Amazing Flying Elephants, The Mad Mockingbird, The Waltzing Swinger, Thunderhead, Treetop Tower, Whistle Punk Chaser, and Wild Eagle.
Precipitation
The following rides may not operate if any form of precipitation is present: Great Tree Swing, and Whistle Punk Chaser. Most other rides will not operate if heavy rain, hail or freezing precipitation is present.
