It’s the most colorful time of year at Dollywood Parks & Resorts – Dollywood’s Flower & Food Festival presented by Covenant Health (April 19 – June 9)! Featuring more than one million blooms throughout the park, brand-new festival foods and unique entertainment, the Flower & Food Festival is the best way to celebrate the arrival of spring in the Great Smoky Mountains.
Let’s take a look at six of our favorite festival offerings and some other exciting Dollywood updates coming this season!
Our signature lineup of beloved Mosaiculture icons returns this year, including the topsy-turvy butterfly umbrella, woodland animal friends and the heartwarming, guest-favorite depiction of Dolly’s mother crafting the Coat of Many Colors. The Dollywood horticulture team designs these botanical marvels with Mosaiculture International, a Montreal-based company that specializes in elaborate floral decorations.
Our chefs have been busy in the kitchen, crafting brand-new dishes, small bites and sweet treats inspired by the season. The best way to try them all is with the tasting pass, which includes five food and beverage offerings for one price. You can purchase the tasting pass online or in the park for $39.99 plus tax or $36.99 plus tax for gold and diamond passholders. Savor culinary delights like honey BBQ ribs, garlic shrimp mac and cheese, honey garlic chicken skillet, cinnamon sugar sweet potato fries, and hand-decorated flower-themed cookies and cupcakes, among many others!
Dollywood’s streets come alive with music during the Flower & Food Festival. Listen to country group the Hall Sisters in their show “Fun Day! With the Hall Sisters,” or enjoy uniquely jazz-tinged Appalachian music by Robinella. And one of Dollywood’s newest shows, “From the Heart – The Life & Music of Dolly Parton,” continues through the festival. All shows are included with park admission, and a full schedule of live performances can be found on our website.
Perhaps the best-known Flower & Food Festival feature is the mesmerizing Umbrella Sky, a brilliant, suspended arrangement of hundreds of umbrellas. But it isn’t the only place in the park for an amazing photo! Guests can also visit the Showstreet Butterfly Carpeting, Showstreet Palace Theater Festival Sign and the intricate works of chalk art along Showstreet.
You can’t visit Dollywood without stopping at our resort properties – Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort and Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa! Both resorts include Flower & Food Festival elements, such as springtime activities, crafts and entertainment to inspire and delight the whole family. You can also find fresh culinary creations and rejuvenating spring-fresh spa treatments alongside signature floral designs and decoration.
This highly anticipated park addition makes its debut during this season’s Flower & Food Festival. We’re excited to welcome you to the Dolly Parton Experience, which opens May 24! This multi-faceted journey follows Dolly’s life from Locust Ridge to stages around the world.
In Songteller, guests trace Dolly’s roots from Sevier County to Nashville, and it includes a 360-degree, projection-mapped story that shares how Dolly became one of the most beloved figures in the world.
At Behind the Seams, it’s all about Dolly’s iconic style, including a curated selection of her signature looks through the years and insights into her creative process.
Precious Memories honors how support from Dolly’s friends and family allowed her to spread her wings to unimaginable heights. A new show, “Heidi Parton’s Kin & Friends,” debuts in the Dreamsong Theater, featuring Dolly’s nice, Heidi Parton, and a cast singing songs and telling stories that only her family would know!
There’s something for everyone at Dollywood’s Flower & Food Festival, from the Dolly fans to the foodies and more. Bring the whole family to experience the natural beauty of the Smoky Mountains during the spring!
